Representation at UK Parliament: Voice of the Future 2023

I had the privilege of representing the Council for Mathematical Sciences and the London Mathematical Society at the Voice of the Future 2023 event in the UK Parliament. During this event, I engaged in discussions focused on the representation of women in higher education, particularly in mathematics and other STEM fields. I addressed the challenges women face in achieving recognition, including the underrepresentation of women in prestigious awards such as the Fields Medal.

This platform provided an opportunity to highlight the need for greater support and visibility for women in mathematics, and to advocate for policies that encourage diversity and gender equality in academia and research. Engaging with policymakers was a crucial step in working towards a more inclusive and equitable future for women in mathematical sciences.
